As a 3-level mobius, it makes perfect sense, although every man is a priest with his dick exposed is funnier.

Oh academia, for many years you were my albatross - for although I love learning, I hate bureaucracy, officialdom, deadlines, rules and regulations. Not to mention that I had non-stop life chaos (so much moving!) throughout university. And now... you're baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

Conundrum -

I've talked a bunch about working in Russia in the summer. They originally offered me a two-part position, where the pay was reasonable, but now they seem to only be offering me the teaching part of the position, which will barely (or not completely) cover my travel costs getting there and back.

So now I have to decide do I go for it,...

So it's my birthday today. I think the biggest thing I've learned in the last little while is to take the chance, give yourself permission to try something that might fail. Failing the first time, is ok, unless you're skydiving.

One thing I'm happy about is there's a lot of things I've wanted to do for a long time that (if all goes well) I'll...

compleanos feliz!
good list.
_bossanova_:
Happy belated, sir! Hope it was a good one.smile

Good luck with your language studies, too!

I want to put my tax refund toward something wonderful like a trip to Spain or Brazil to see family, but instead will probably be somewhat sensible and save it for a rainy day (those come often when you live in NY, where cost of living is high and pay is low). I'm sure some of it will go toward books because I won't be able to help myself.

So who wants to hang out in Paris?

Or Basque country in Spain?

Or Liverpool?

Or Dublin?

Or Moscow / St. Petersburg?

Seriously.

Soon I'm going to officially be in my late 20s.

Better achieve something, methinks, aside from being awesome.

I realized while walking to work today that the women I'm attracted to today are strongly based on my first two boyish crushes - Pippi Longstocking & Penny from Inspector Gadget. I can still sing both theme songs from memory despite that I haven't seen them in 1.5 decades or so.

ie.
- extremely intelligent
- fights pirates
- has a "computer book"
- vaguely...

I've been considering doing a weekly video impression of different Suicide Girls. Thoughts?

Thats funny

Do it. Take care on the selection though, choose the wrong girl and you may have to stand very still for a very long time and with some of the thoughts on this site you are likely to dislocate something in an attempt to express it. There are one or two that should be excluded from your list, you may end up turning yourself inside out. This could get messy.

OMG do it!

Haven't been feeling like myself lately.

You have my permission to attempt to restore me via black magic and/or voodoo.

And I actually find writing to be the easiest part with Chinese. I'm such a fucker with the tones and pronouciation in general. Just can't get them right. And anyway I'm always really nervous even to try to speak it so of couse that is not helping at all either.
