Nothing out of the ordinary. I was only supposed to be in this apartment for a month and I charmed them for two. I charmed the majority of them to let me stay longer but I not the one whose actually on the lease... which I couldn't help, I subletted his room while he was out of state...

Sounds like you're making good decisions. Build in a reality check (if you don't have one already), in the form of a trusted friend or advisor, so that as you cycle you'll have a firm anchor.

oh, i don't know. we exchanged some nasty emails then had a nasty phone conversation. she gave me reason to think she still cares about me , but i really can't tell because she has pride and doesn't want to swallow it, like anyone else would.

she's supposed to be at the boston tattoo convention but she only has one very tiny tattoo and she's generally not a very big tattoo person. she wouldn't have gone if i didn't invite her a week ago, but now she's going to travel 3 hours to get there to meet up with a mutual friend of ours. i really don't want to see her.

oh if craig is who i think he is, he's the old fat dude who was collecting the money. i hope he looked better when you were with him.

i definately can't go camping this weekend, but maybe i could stop by on friday or saturdat night. most likely saturday. east hampton is a lot closer to me than the places SGCT usually meets up. do you still have my number? i don't know if i have yours.

I've been there, on both sides actually. It sucks so much when you want your friend to support you and she just wants to fix you, when she can't see that you are working things out for yourself. I had a friendship end in large part to that. At the same time, it's so hard to watch someone you love hurt themselves. Sometimes you just want to shake them and make them see your side of it. Sometimes it's hard to see that your idea of what is best for them isn't the only way things can work out well. I was horribly guilty of that with my best friend. It took me a long time to understand that we just approach a similar situation differently and that I wasn't giving her enough credit.

Being grown up does not have to mean being in a serious relationship. It sounds like right now, you have what works for you and she has what works (sort of) for her. Neither of you is neccessarily wrong. It does sound like you two need a serious heart-to-heart. Hopefully she can understand your point of view.

I'm sorry you're in such a shitty position. I hope it all works out for you. *hugs*
