i'm going to legal aid tomorrow to talk about the issue...i think it will depend on whether or not the judge thinks given the circumstances, it's ridiculous for them to be taking me to court. the landlord has "technically" upheld their responsibility of hiring exterminators, but i ended up not being able to live there for a month and a half while the toxic powder was everywhere. and while maintenance SHOULD have been called in to patch the 30 or so holes in my walls drilled by the exterminator, i ended up doing it myself. had i not been proactive on my own, i'd still have bugs. i'm so irritated i may take them to small claims court anyway. ugh...
mediocrity can be a good thing...sometimes you need to be able to shut the brain off and just coast. i'm hoping after next week i can do just that...

I've been in Europe so much because I'm a software developer and the company I work for was contacted to write some custom software for a client that runs on a boat which has been in Europe. The boat was being built in the Netherlands and is currently in Spain. So periodically I have to go on board to do some maintenance and testing of the software. Mainly it's been really interesting, but I've also typically not gotten to see much of the areas I visit.

I have a feeling this will turn out to be another Y2K. Some people will freak out, other people will make money off of them, and then we will all make jokes about it in a few years. I believe the Apocalypse will happen but I don't think it will be that easy for humans to predict. My money's on Christian End Times stuff, but I'm secretly hoping for zombies.

Just ask a friend to join you. A couple of years ago I had booked a cruise while dating a witch ... and things went south before the cruise. I asked my favorite waitress if she would like to join me, she said yes ... we had a great time. They have special singles cruises too, went on a few with my buddies while in school, they are a fucking blast.
GNC sells a chin up / dip bar that hangs in a doorway without tools or hardware for like $25. You can get a cheap set of dumbells and a yoga ball for not much more too. My favorite is walking on a treadmill while watching tv or a movie.
I swear I gained 14 pounds during this last food and wine cruise.
