*Looks at the hoodie he is wearing*

*Checks the calender to make sure that it's June*

*Looks at the comforter on the bed*

*Double checks the calender, yep, still June*

Fucking New England weather, I swear.

akirali:
aint much warmer down here yo, hoodie weather all fucking week
violentlydave:
Hah dude. I wouldn't complain. It's been 90 degrees and humid here for a few weeks!!

(Best yet, my AC kicked it.. freon leak.. they recharged it + ordered the parts, so it's rocking right now, and they'll
be back out for another $400 repair gig in another week!)

As for the jam pad, heck yeah dude. I've cleaned out the organ some and got it working a bit better (alot of crackle that I'm proving is what I suspected, 30 years of dust on analog contacts.. not good!).. I found a joint that had the owners manual and service manual available, so $35 later, I have both headed my way.. hopefully by this weekend. I really want to get the keys and switches in order, and also service the Leslie (yep, it's got a leslie in it! woot!)

I'm psyched. It's like renting a car that's different than yours, it's so wierd to play, it helps remind you how much fun playing music can be!

Dear Criterion,

Could you please hurry up with those DVD reissues of Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, and Sanjuro you were talking about? I've been holding out for a really long time now and I want to add more awesome Toshiro Mifune movies to my collection! Speed it up people, will ya?

love

Kris

PS I know you're normally good for it, but there...

I just got home from a small party at a co-workers house. It was alright, they were glad to see me and all but this being a small college town, everyone was getting hammered. I'm not the straight edge type who thinks all drinkers are the scum of the earth: I don't drink, that's it.

It's not that anyone was being mean or rude and...

Dood... not only do you have to be awake for it but you have to watch it all happen. eeek First, they put these drops into your eyes to numb you up for the cutting. Then, once your numb, the put you into this chair that leans you over until your basically upside down. They tape your eyelashes down so they won't get in the way, then they put this thing in your eye to keep it open and keep you from blinking.

Then the saw comes. They saw off a little flap so the laser can get to your actual eye. when the flap is made, they use a little pick to open it up and everything gets blurry. They put in a milky drop to make your pupils dialate, then they turn on the laser.

Repeat next eye.

It was like every medical nightmare I've ever had and totally fucking awesome at the same time (in a sick masochistic sort of way). I highly recommend it. tongue

And I understand what you're saying about drinking. I'm not really a heavy drinker, and I hate being drunk. I do enjoy drinking and like drinking socially, but I would never want to go to a "kegger" or any of that. It was never really my scene either.

We have alot in common sir,
I am horribly tired and alittle frustrated(high school memories flaring up *sigh*)
so the reply i sent is less than professional but check it out in umm ugly ducklings.

You know you have cool people on your friends list when they send you birthday wishes before you update your journal. Thanks folks!

In other news, damn, I'm 26 but I don't "feel" 26.

We're hoping "Beer & Burgers" will be taking place once a month, if not once ever couple of weeks. Other than the fact that we already take up three tables with our crew on busy Friday nights, everything has gone smoothly so far. You should definitely come out to the next one.

I will be at the SG Burlesque. I actually received my tickets in the mail a couple days ago, so I'm all set!

Ok! Update time already!

I saw Nine Inch Nails in Boston at the Orpheum on Thursday and it was fucking great! I also have a funny story about the show.

The band was positioned on stage like this going from left to right: Jeordie (AKA Twiggy Ramerez) on bass on the left, Allessandro on Keyboards behind him, Trent Reznor front and center, Aaron on guitars...

Ok, so the new Norma Jean album came out on March 1st........and nobody told me. Nothing about it on the SG newswire nore in the hardcore discussion group. What the fuck?

Well in any event I just got back from picking it up at the record store and it fucking kills. It's more straightforward and a little less spastic than their highly impressive debut, but...
