Paul....I seriously love what you've done.

You totally inspire me to start to be creative again. I get so stuck in a rut from doing the "bread n' butter" stuff of photography that I rarely leave time for stuff that " I " want to do.

I hope this week is a good one for you. smile

Welcome to the club! Nothing is going to change...

Goodness gracious kpan. No more worries eh? Aside from the snip, how are you doing?

Had a recent trip to the UK. Just go back. Worked some but mostly spent some quality time with a few good friends whom I have not had a chance to spend time with during my last few whirlwind trips. The weather could not have been better.

I am selling or should I say have agreed a sale for my medium format camera...don't panic I have actually replaced with a newer shinier model.
As a challenge the lovely peeps in the Photography group responded to a request from me to give me a challenge for the 10 shots or so left on the last film in the camera

I can't wait either, but I am a little intimidated by it!

Which camera did you get? I'm thinking about getting a second hand Hassel. Why did you chose a Mamiya among other brands, if you don't mind me asking?

This challenge looks like so much fun to do, I especially like the urban landscape.

Well Happy Easter to all you Bunnies out there.....and don't forget to tip your hat to the Goddess Eostre

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Eostre (pron East-ra) was the Anglo-Saxon goddess of the dawn, from whom "East" (where the sun rises) and "Easter" got its name - as the fertility goddess of the Northern European peoples, her legend was manipulated by the invading Romans - newly...

I am mightily impressed with your coinage of "kpanlings". That's a stonking word, that is.
I'm sure they deserve so wonderful a word smile

Photography is becoming increasingly important in my life...in fact sometimes it feels like my life gets in the way of my photography..is that passion? or obsession? Not sure. What I do know is that I spend inordinate amounts of time posting pictures in forums such as this.Having said that groups like the one here are really good for developing yourself...in the last few years I...

Got a new camera love
It's a Mamiya Super which is the next level up from the one I have. This one has Mirror Lock Up which will be a real plus for my Landscape and Portrait work. This is one of my test shots just to make sure all was working, which it is.
Mrs Kpan bought me this last week because he reminds her...

I have never read the graphic novel, so I can't tell you if the film does it justice or not. I only allow myself one of the two so that neither is spoiled. Maybe someday I will read it. I hope you enjoy it when you do get a chance to see it. And thank you for the happy wishes. I hope things are going well for you in that department as well. You are so sweet. kiss

Well I just had the best 3 days away. I was working with 9 other drummers under the Drum Jam banner and we were booked to perform for the FLP Rally in Malaga, Spain. The craic was great and we had oodles of fun as well as getting to play on stage to an audience of 8500 people...YEP...8500. Mind blowing experience and through the miracle...

Hehe this made me giggle. Good work on the wife front!! I bet she's still happy about that bit of work you did there! wink

I love this series. So spooky, but really peaceful. It makes me feel like drowning, but not in a bad or scary way. I don't know how to make that make sense, but it's a good feeling. Love it.

hunkpapa:
have a read of what Mr Gormley is doing next. biggrin

I was looking at my friends tab and thinking about you. How the hell did I miss this blog? I've been kind of sporadic in my SGing lately due to intermittent periods of busy-ness with work. Althought I am blowing off a couple of hours now.

Those pictures are fantastic. What have you been up to lately? I hear it has been a cold winter out your way.

ah good dub stuff reminds me of the summer solstice with the good vibes uprising people in Brighton a few years ago - seeing the sun rise to the vibration of sub-bass woofers on the beach with good friends, marvellous!

this new USB turntable thingy is surprisingly easy to use. i already have iTunes, so i was expecting to have to save again to cd and upload further. however, all i had to do was install the humourously named EZ vinyl converter software, stick the needle to the vinyl and press record at the start of the track. it was even easier than cutting Dave Lee Travis's voice out of a C90 recording of the top 40!

it was on sale for 50 before Christmas, but is almost twice as much at the moment online... here's a linky. I thoroughly recommend it for sound quality.

i wish you a year full of open spaces and golden light my friend.
