A lot of car insurances will pay for window replacements without raising your rates, so you might want to check with them. I know this from getting broken into about once a month when I lived in Baltimore! I never kept ANYTHING in my car. I had my jumper cables stolen, never replaced them, then some extra mace was stolen, never replaced it, then I'd just get the windows broken out. No one ever took my maps . . .
