The Dalai Lama, though strongly educated in the tenets of Buddhism, always manages to blend his thoughts with a sometimes dry and other times more apparent sense of humor that often leaves what he says open to interpertation. His answers seem more along the lines of "it's not so much what I think the answer is but, what you think it is." Some might say that is a lazy approach but then, he is a spiritual leader and as such it his duty to facilitate others inner growth, the rest is up to them.
