I did 3 years in the army. From 19 to 22. So I guess I got out 3 years ago. They are paying for my school right now. So it was not all bad.

I found the perfect live-work studio the other night. Lots of natural light, a two story high warehouse-esque center open area with exposed rafters and a cement floor (or maybe it was tile...I can't remember, something hard), and bedrooms on the side and upstairs. It was beautiful. Unfortunately, it belongs to someone else. Someday, I will have such a space. I love my little cottage, but the workspace sucks, and I'm finding a distinct lack of electrical outlets to be a problem, now that I actually have power flowing through them.

If I could just find a bunch of artists to share a studio like that with, just as a work place, so I could go back to my own place for privacy and peace, that would be ideal. Ok, now I know what I need...and thus begins the quest to attain it. I figure it'll probably take 2-3 years for the planets to align properly to allow that vision to take shape, but I'm patient, I can wait.

I'm bordering on ranting now, so I'll cut here, right along the dotted line.

The fan is back in the cupboard after the briefest of warm stints. Currently, the weather's "keepin' the green GREEN' as my grandad used to say.. He was quite a famous poet in his day. Had a lot of work published. I'd find some and type it up if you like....
