another reason why the ocean is a little frightening.
it is dream like though, can't imagine living at those depths, operating in that community, with a light protruding from my forehead, there really is no such thing as embarrasment or shame in the animal world

... by the way, if you know anyone who says they can draw, they're either LYING or FULL OF THEMSELVES. Even Hokusai at 60 said he was just starting to understand drawing. The plain fact of the matter is: the more you know about drawing, the more you understand that you don't know it at all, or may never come to know it the way...

You know, when you asked me about those photos of that artwork I hadn't looked at your portfolioish stuff. I can see that you are really attracted to big swathes of color!
I really like the--not geometric...not angular....hmm. I'm really attracted to compartments, creating blocks of space. Obviously that's part of my thing with boxes. So I like the similarity in rectangles in those and the multitude of changes within them.
And- I just found out that not only is there lots of cool decaying buildings there but Angel Island also has empty missile silos you can walk around in--
we need to go sometime!

Isn't it a Great Day for Not Being Dead? I ask you.
The helicopter overhead reminds me of the time the media swarmed my mom's house after the shooting at Phil Spector's. Unbeknownst to us before that, he had been our neighbor for years. Imagine.
This one is a shooting too, according to the conductor ... although I don't think they announced it to everyone...

way cooler than a rock star!
Can I ask a question? I have a job interview coming up in San Jose - My wife and I might move to the bay area. Is it possible to find a decent place to live that won't cost a fortune that is between Oakland and San Jose? I mean, where would a rock star like yourself live?

My train just picked up the passengers of the Amtrak before us. Their train hit a car a couple of hours ago. I guess if you want to go out fast, violent & stupid, racing a train would be a perfect way to do it.
It just makes me wonder: how much of a rush can anyone be in, to risk it like that? If...

I never understand people racing trains or risking their lives driving stupidly.
I've got a friend who drives at about 90mph on a single car width country roads... if anything came the other way they'd both be dead.
He'll die at some point, i just dont hope he kills anybody when he does.

By now D and I are officially living off my tax refund. We'll find a way to make it last until the next thing comes along. Whenever that is.
Which would work out just fine if it weren't for 1 moving violation, 1 parking ticket, and some much needed truck repair. This poor truck has only got a couple years left, I think, before the...
