I've been cooking for several years straight now. Before that I worked in fast food and some summers at a restaurant that my Grandmother owned. I've sent many a noob downstairs to fetch a left-handed smoke sifter, spent many a bar night with coworkers showing off kitchen scars, and make a mean oven face. Can I be in your group?

I work at a Waffle House in Tennessee as a line cook and a waiter. I want to quit the serving bullshit and go back to what I do best: cook and bitch and drink and do lines of speed to stay awake and alert.

Story: One night I was sleepy as fuck (I work 3rd shift) and some folk didn't pay, or at least I didn't think they paid. So I run from behind the counter and chase them into the parking lot only to find out that they in fact had paid and were just being giggly because they had been popping pills all night. I staggered back in to the sound of laughter and clapping from my co-workers from my falling and flailing.

That should get me all up in the culinary group, right?

I'm thankfull that I can read about sweeties like you who are happy and who always lighten up my day and make me happy.

I'm a sucker for an iced vanilla muffin. With sprinkles of course.
