Godhdarnit, I hope I haven't used up my fifteen minutes! I mean, some people do get substantially more. I remember once reading an article about how Regis Philbin arrived in Hollywood -- he couldn't act, he couldn't sing, he couldn't dance, he wasn't funny -- but, by gosh, was he determined to "make it." And he's totally more famous than me. And I occasionally say something clever.

Offal meats and canned fish?

With modeling casting calls, I have often had to read between the lines. A call might go out for women with an "urban look." Somewhere down in paragraph three,...

I am reading Jonathan Lethem's The Fortress of Solitude; thus far, the protagonist is still in the fifth grade. I especially enjoyed this passage:

-----
Fifth grade was fourth grade with something wrong. Nothing changed outright. Instead it teetered. You'd pushed futility at Public School 38 so long by then you expected the building itself would be embarassed and quit. The ones who couldn't...

Today, I have a new comedy clip for you!

I have gone to great effort to prepare this clip for your listening pleasure. First, I farmed the corn and wheat myself, and then I harvested it, dragging behind me the iron plow that has been in my family since the czars.

Okay, no. But I wrote the jokes, performed the jokes, recorded it all on...
