Well, yeah, I sympathise, although speaking as a man I have kind of a problem with this attitude. I mean it seems to me that it is absolutely unacceptable in our culture to approach someone you don't already know unless a) it's in some pre-sanctioned capitalist transaction or b) it's in some carefully stage-managed social arena. I think this is a shame. Sometimes you just see people and want to know what they're like, and how are you going to do that without talking to them?
