So far today, I'm feeling much better then I was yesterday. Alan came home early from work and helped with the girls... He also ended up buying me pizza since I didn't eat most of the day. He also found my phone, it was under the passenger seat in the car. I must have dropped it when we dropped the girls off at the sitter's...

Well, we went to NY yesterday to survey the boat. Everything went great! We're going to be going up again mid-week to pay the seller and sign the papers. We're also going to see how well she runs under her one working engine. If she's fine with it, we're going to make plans to bring her down to Philly and move aboard.
I have some...

Awww... Sorry you are stressed.
Just take some time to relax and then take each problem one at a time.
Awesome! The boat sounds like it is going to be good!
Happy Mother's day!

Tonight we take the kids up to the sitters and head up to New York. I'm really excited and nervous... It's all depending on tonight/tomorrow now.
I'm trying to remember that any stress I'm feeling right now it based in that... butI feel like it's coming at me from every side. So there is this girl I'm friends with. I've been in love with her...

If I actually splurge for a boat this summer it will be local so I can look it over etc. I know alot more than these so-called surveyors do.

Well, I have almost had a productive day. LOL!
I finished up the Welcome Packet for Clients and am ready to begin coaching. I also sent out a welcome packet to the three people who have expressed an interest in being coached by me.
And yesterday when we went out, I picked up a couple of wellness magazines. I'm thinking of finding out how much...

Well done on the boat. How did I get involved? I just applied for a job! I've been travelling with them now for 2 years.

Hope your business takes off! It will take a while to get things rolling . . . so be patient!
Glad to hear about the boat! I hope that works out! If the engine needs work . . a price reduction would be in order. Don't be shy about bargaining!

Yesterday, I didn't get much of anything done for most of the day. I just sat around on the computer. I always "hope" to get something done on Wednesdays and it never seems to happen. I wonder why that is. One way or another, I need to get that to stop for a while to. There are too many things here that need to get...

I got a small lil 24' 1963 Cal Jensen. It's a joint venture between me and my brother Tim. I'm working full time paying for it and he's staying on it making sure it stays off the rocks while the horse shit with the DMV is settled. It looks like this. It's not the best boat for us. It's a swing keel and the cable to lower the keel is broken so until I can get it hauled out and get that fixed proper it doesn't sail so good. I named it the Sideslip. It's got a full length keel that's maybe 18" deep. It does do something. Very little though. We sailed it from San Diego up to LA harbor and right when we got out I was trying to point it 45 to the wind and the fucker was sliding a good 20 deg downwind. We were making something like 30 deg headway each tack in a 5kt vessel. Turned out to be like 1.6kts velocity made good. Not good when you got 150 miles to sail and have to be at work the next day. At first we headed out with just an electric trolling motor and a deep cell battery and 200 watts of solar pannel. Just something to move the vessel inside a harbor with the sails down. The idea was to go entirely under sail power. After going 4 miles in 3hrs it was obvious that just wasn't gonna work and we were gonna have to steam it. So we got an outboard and made the trip a week er so later.
Although it's not the best of boats, the price was right. I saw it on craigslist for $300 and couldn't pass it up since Tim had been living here for months since our last venture in buying a boat (lots to be said about that one too (the boats still alive but the project went down in flames)). Seems like I should have passed up on it now though. The title wasn't clear. It had a 60 day hold on it (long story). Because of that no marina would rent me a slip for a boat that's in someone elses name so my brother had to stay on it in anchorages and guest slips. Just this last monday I finally got it transfered into my name. Unfortunately now, after two months of supporting someone living at sea (combined with getting a $300 vessel up to seaworthy condition)(and supporting my own life on top of it all), I'm kindo broke and it'll be another week at least until I've got the cash to get it into a slip. I had what seemed like plenty safty net of cash when we went out on this project but that was figuring that things would go SOMEwhat moderately smooth.
With boats though it just goes to show. You NEVER want to think the sea will be easy on you. Ever. The same, in this case, seems to holds true with the DMV and everyone else that has anything to do with boating.
Case in point: Tuesday the day after I got the boat transfered into my name I went to the marina that I REALLY wanted to get in. I called him first and asked if he had slips and he had one. He said he'd it was a big one and he wouldn't rent it to me for less than the 30' price. I really wanted into that marina so I said ok and I'd be right there. Once I got there he saw things were kindo funny with the dates of the boat purchasing and such and asked me the story on it and I told him. He said he didn't have a good feeling about this, that it would turn into a sneak aboard deal, and said he was gonna pass. I was like "You're gonna pass?" thinking about any other business where a customer comes in saying he wants to buy your product and you say "Well, sure I'm a 7-11 selling this Pepsi n all, but it seems like you're nothing but trouble so I'm gonna have to pass on selling this soda to you."
But it's not like it's a huge horrible thing or anything. Just meant that I was gonna have to say to Tim "Well, sorry Tim, looks like you're gonna have to raise the spinaker and sail back to Catalina and anchor off the coast of this tropical island in an achorage with free wireless broadband for another week er so and spend your time fishing and partying at the local bars with the girls you hooked up with on myspace. Sail on back in a week er so and maybe I'll have a slip. Sure he could be on a bigger nicer boat n all, but it's still kindo tough to feel sorry for the guy ya know?

I have been going on an SG binge. I've been feeling really lonely and powerless over the past few days. So, instead of moping around. I am going out of my way to talk to new and interesing people. It's been really cool. I'm not used to beautiful women paying any attention to me. (I don't know why, but I usually scare them away.) Over...

I'm very excited about my life coaching... Can you tell?
I now have it up in the directory. I'll be starting to do pro-bono and free demo sessions next week. I'm getting all the the paper work done on it, to be ready for clients. Next I'll need to figure out all the legal part...
