Now that that's said. Money + family always equals some kind of weirdness. I can't offer much in the way of advice - I just paid an inordinate amount of money to keep my sister from getting evicted from her apartment (she hadn't paid her rent in over 3 months), which I would never have done for anyone else. Maybe you should just try to take solace in the fact that you did an incredibly nice thing. Or, failing that, you could just liberate her new Audi. I hear those are nice cars.

Lemme put it this way (and please note that this is being said not in a mean way but in a claremarie way ): before I was dating my boyfriend, he came to my house under the pretense that he was "interested in my paintings" and might be in the market to buy one. I mentioned that two of them weren't for sale--Crimson Orb and Goldfish (the first one). He thought about this for a moment and said "What if someone offered you $6000 for one for them?"
