Sweet. Much better.

We were learning about developmental psychology this afternoon, and it made me really want children. I feel like I could be a good dad. So that made me happy. I don't want them right now though, because I'd still like to be childless for a few more years <phew>.

Salads for lunch are the most amazing things ever. ever. no, no buts......

Interesting... and kinda cool. Though hiding things in your hair, man... lol...

Cell spam sucks because a lot of people get billed per message on that crap. My plan doesn't, but it's still like an extra painful invasion of privacy...

Same deal here. I could care less when I get messages from those I know, or even people I don't know but who are sending me a real and actual message. It's the unsolicited bullshit that gets me. Mind you, I have problems with telemarketers calling at home, too. I take the Seinfeld approach when they call, and will often try to engage them in some inane conversation or ask them to give up their home phone number when they call.

"That survey sounds interesting, but now isn't really a good time. I'll tell you what, you give me your home number and tell me when you'll be home, and I'll call you. How does that sound?"

Fuck all those high-school ASB refugees and their agenda to make the world better with colored paper and markers. Jesus, how much do they think they can accomplish by making sparkly things to hang on the ceiling or whatever...

These are the people who run this musical event that I'm doing next week, and they're complete morons--they have no idea what is going on within...

Oh... those people realize their full fucktardedness early in life, and become accountants and soccer moms and pta bitches and all that. Very goofy people, if you ask me.

Yeah, we call them 'default worlders' for a reason. Some people are born into it and lead their whole life without realizing anything beyond it.

So yesterday, instead of sitting in a cramped, noisy room with two other physics majors and turning knobs until things happen, I actually did something productive. I picked up a vacuum tube for my bass amp (which didn't solve the problem frown), went and had lunch with Venice in Hollywood. Hooray for proximity. And then drove down and got new tires installed, yay. I'm super...

I feel like it's been a bajillion years since I've updated. It's quite odd, seeing as it's only been two days.

Saturday was quite different--this was the first time this quarter that I just came downstairs and was lazy for a while. I watched Bulletproof Monk in the afternoon and it fulfilled my desire for cheap thrills in cinematic format.

I was then solicited to...

Dude -- I was just telling my girlfriend a couple of days ago that you were officially "the nicest dude I've met at SG". It's good to hear from ya.

By the way, is it crazy to think that the painted lines on the side of the road on I-10 stretch all the way from California to Florida -- I mean really think about it -- that's just one line. That always amazes me. smile

Rock you like a hurricane ... forgive me - I'm fighting the urge to call up into a ball and give into stress...

Why did you turn those girls down?

School doesn't really change--sure the classes come and go and all the classmates rotate and your assignments vary from quarter to quarter, but it doesn't really change. It's still 10 weeks and then finals, that's how it goes.

I was looking at jobs in Boston and got really excited, so I'm really planning on moving there maybe late summer after I chill in Portland for...

People were thinking when both counties were designed actually. But when LA county's highways came into being, nobody had really any idea how to do a major highway through a metro area so it was all hypothetical. I bet it looked great on paper...

Dude you shouldn't talk about things like that converter deal on a site like this, it could lead to trouble. You don't want to be labeled some sort of car-pervert, or car-vert if you will...

trilobyte:
Nah, LA is far from where it originated... I don't think they were even any kind of major pioneer in that department. If I remember correctly (grandfather was very involved in the creation of the highway system as its known today), it was one of the last majors, since they spent so much time trying to work out the logistics....

Alright, what's going on:

I feel really lazy right now because I am. I have a lot of stuff I really ought to get going on and I'm not really putting priority into them. I'm mostly playing scrabble and going to class.

This is my "Car Quarter" I'm going to spend lots of money on my car and hopefully make it nice and driveable. My...

I'm such a dolt. I sure do know how to say the wrong thing...

This was a good weekend though. Thursday night I drove around with Ariel and kept her from getting too depressed. After she dropped me off I went out with my roommate to a party and got really drunk for the first time in a good while. I left that party after...

Today was the last day in my 'week' if one may call it that. It's really just three days of classes. I actually have lab and work on Monday now, so I just have three-day weekends now, but still. It's really odd seeming for me to have this weird schedule.

I want to do laundry and stuff but Dustin monopolized that commodity right now. For...

I say take that nap man.

I worked graveyard for about 2 years or so. Thank God I'm on days not. But anyways, I could sleep any where, any time, any place. The only time I was really truely awake was the hour after waking up. So therfore I had a good enough reason to sleep while everyone else is working. The second someone would say break time, if I was sitting too long I would be out. After awhile my friends just got used to me. I couldn't help my work schedual.

If I really needed to be awake, thats when the coffee and Red Bulls came into play.

And please dear God, dont put caffeine free coke in with rum. Not even cheap rum. Do the right thing. Use Coke. Shit! I've never tried a Rum and Jolt before.
alohra:
Sorry about AIM the other day. I was chatting with an ex-boyfriend and it got a bit complicated. I never really drink much caffeine. It's pretty much the only drug I've ever tried that my body can't handle...and that's really saying something. blech. It makes my stomach get all knotted up, makes me constipated, irritable, jumpy...gross.

I've realized that I will really miss the place--UCLA, that is, but not really the people. The people are interchangeable and I think that another college would have a better distribution of people with which I can interact. I will miss walking around the campus and walking through hallways, and just random stuff like that. But, it's ending and I have to move on. UCLA...

I've noticed that Russian chicks are hot to me. More so than the Average Romanian or Ukrainian. All very hot in there own way. I dont know, cant really put my figer on it why I like Russians girls so much. But you know who I really like? Irish dancing girls. Oh yeah! love If Micheal Flatly wasn't in Lord of The Dance, I'd bye it. biggrin

Are you going to continue school?
chckpotpie:
I understand liking the grad students. I have a little crush on my bio lab instructor. She's a grad student. I think it's because they're more intellectual and you can have a great conversation with them. Especially if it's something they're passionate about. unfortunately, i never know what to say to her, so when i do talk, it's usually something dumb! frown

I'm so freaking bored. I just realized how little there is to do in Westwood. I really need to find outlets for this. I feel like I'm being doubly unproductive because of homework and stuff when school is going on. I feel it even today, even though school hasn't even started. Also, I'm feeling an incredible lack of food-options in Westwood. I'm sure that there...
