Lots of knowledgeable people in there willing to give advice on photoshop and other subjects, and if memory serves there's a thread poking around somewhere for decent online tutorials, some of which are photoshop based.

I think the set is fabulous, and actually, quite incredible for a self shot set. self shooting is extremely difficult to do. don't give up.

as for the critiques that you've been given......remember this......most of the people giving critiques know nothing at all about why a set might have been rejected. They're just guessing at the reasons. SG rejects some really great sets. tmronin and Cherry have had rejected sets and they are among the best photogs out there.

So don't be discouraged. Have fun with your shoots and keep trying. Listen to the critiques that seem to give you REAL advice (for example, and I'm NOT saying this is a problem with your set....but if a photo is not exposed properly, or out of focus or the color balance isn't right, etc). Comments on wardrobe or location or posing...those are subjective. What appeals to some people doesnt' always appeal to others.

Personally, I love the high key, pure white or solid color backgrounds (shot on seamless backgrounds), or simple sets. Typically, SG doesn't, if you read their FAQ. However, they have accepted several of those sets this year. Go figure.
