Well Northampton was ok. It was nice to see my old mate Paddy, although I spent most of the night chatting to the guys I went up there with. They were given far too much champagne so we had a stab at getting rid of it. My head certainly hurt in the morning. Shame I missed the rest of you guys.

Went out to see Kate's band last night, and I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. IMHO somewhere between Muse, Rival Schools and Ok Go. Also got a chance to chat to Kate to make up for missing the opportunity last week, so hurrah! Plus a whole bunch of the usual SGUK crowd were there too, and although there was a plan to go...

Ok time to update my favourite SGs again. After worrying a lot about seeming like a creep I figure f*** it I might as well pay tribute to some wonderful people I've met in *person* and whom I wholly admire in many different respects. All power to you girls, I am both humbled and inspired...

Well here I am on Monday morning, suffering from back-to-work blues and sleep deprivation.
Saturday was ace. It starting with some silly gaming action at a friend's which quickly turned into a session of drinking all the wine (8 bottles) that got left at his from the party last week. I headed to the ship a little bit wobbly already and although I stopped by...

She plays the double bass, like me. Judging from her husbands unbelievably poor dancing skills, any children they might have would be lucky to end up with any rhythm at all. I doubt she would encourage them to become classical musicians anyway, with all the crap that she's put up with.
Thank Crunchie it's Friday. Only 3 more hours to go and I'm outta here. Roll on much silliness and beer tomorrow.
And BTW for those of you who care the hamster is doing fine (fingers xssed).

The highlight of this weekend was a swashbuckling-themed part at a friend's place for his birthday - we put a whole bunch of films on and generally arsed about. I impressed everyone with my DVD of the remake of the Count of Monte Cristo, plus there was Princess Bride, Pirates and A Knight's Tale. Several beers and two bottles of wine later I crashed on...

Well just come back from a fab weekend in the arse end of nowhere with a bunch of mates and a lot of beer.
Over the course of the last few days I've been the ghost of a dead gangster, an exile in a post-apocalyptic world, a Victorian cowboy explorer, an experimental psychologist and a budding rookie superhero....

We're Knights of the Round Table.
We dance whene'er we're able.
We do routines and chorus scenes
With footwork impeccable.
We dine well here in Camelot.
We eat ham and jam and spam a lot.
We're Knights of the Round Table.
Our shows are formidable,
But many times we're given rhymes
That are quite unsingable.
We're opera mad in Camelot.
We sing from the diaphragm...

On second thoughts lets not go there. Tis a silly place

Well Valentines day passed and thankfully I can safely say that I wasn't that bothered. Not that I don't realise that it's a commercial westernised sham anyway, but I can now say that a) I am now safely over the 3.5 year relationship that ended about this time last year, and b) I have also safely extricated myself from a more recent (and possibly mistaken)...

Well time for an update I guess.
Catching up with the SGUK crowd on Saturday was fun, and I even managed to nip out to see Breed77 and then make it back for last orders. Lostprophets were cool last night too, although the sound and the show wasn't quite as good as last week (although they did do their cover of Cry Me A River...

Well the XFM Live Session gig with Hundred Reasons and Lostprophets totally rocked! Never been to the Carling Academy before and it turns out its quite small and cosy, albeit a bit pricey and their PA is bloody loud considering. HR had a much better sounds, and were a lot tighter, but the LP were great too, much more energetic live and with humourous Welsh...

Hmm, i'm in job limbo hell as well, as you know. I just try not to think about all the jobs I haven't got, i've got a huge stack of rejection letters and an angry bank manager, oh well, at least I have Andrew WK to keep me happy.
You still up for weekend shoot? See SGUK post for details.
