Bloody hell, Tuesday already! Err.

Pretty insane weekend for me, and quite frankly I'm still reeling. Friday went from drinks with an ex-colleague (cool, but strange), 36 Crazyfists at the Astoria (rocked like bastards but IMHO the American Head Charge gig was better) to B-Movie at the Wateratz in KingsX (cheesy music, dancing and too much beer) to face-down on my mates futon. Ambled home...

Argh so much to do, little time!

Out of here shortly to go home, feed cats, get changed, come back into town, have a swift one with an old colleague, meet some other people to go see 36 Crazyfists, then go onto B-Movie in KingsX.

My little bro's ticket for 36 Crazyfists tonight is going spare as he's ill. If anyone wants it then mail...

Sorry about that! We only stopped in for an hour after a heavy friday. Didn't know you were there - silly me. Next time maybe, eh?! Hope you had fun despite the gaping hole that must have been left by my absence. wink tongue

Me again: It's Cool Edit Pro. Download that and then try astalavista.com to crack it. Or get a cheap copy of Sounforge; also good. It's kind of wierd as I only remembered the name of cool edit because of a dream I had last night. Yes, I dream of audio software.

Last Friday (the bank holiday) we played Sorceror's Crusade where I'm a kooky street urchin and part-time prostitute who learned her pagan magic of an old lady in the poor quarter who's now shacked up with a gifted artisan to serve as his muse. This Saturday we played Marvel where I'm playing an estranged Ozzy teenager with deadly electric powers who accidentally ended up in...

in a way i think that reality is more subjective since our personal experiences and perceptions tend to define the way we view the world and the people in it.
out of curiosity, do you think that karma is something moreso experienced in this life or the next?
i've often pondered this question because despite the many times i notice something good or bad happening as a result of a certain action i notice just as many things (usually more) that seem to happen without just cause.

Yay me I managed to find the soundtrack to Labyrinth in Virgin's latest sale. It's classic 80s in so many ways, but it's a great film and it brings forth very fond memories. Also found the soundtrack to Ravenous. Aside it from it being one of my all-time fave films, the soundtrack is a particularly bizarre and haunting affair crafted by Damon Allbarn using authentic...

Wiat what? You're looking forward to Episode III? Wowzies, you are officially the biggest optimist I know. shocked

It might not suck as bad as the first two prequels. I will probably drag myself to go see it in the theater at some point, out of my last shred of loyalty to a once-glorious series. But... I dunno if I can make myself face it, dude. The Star Wars prequels flamed out faster and worse than the Matrix sequels (with those, at least I got to really love the first movie).

Maybe I'll just ask you for spoilers when the film arrives. wink

i have to say that i'm most annoyed that you 'top up' your car instead of 'fill up' with petrol. wink

Well the weekend went pretty much expected. Slightly less gaming and more socialising than planned, but it was all good. Not quite enough sleep as usual, although this time mainly due to me spending too much time on KOTORII. I beat the visiting Frenchies at V:TES on Saturday (which was was much deserved) and then went home to watch Dr Who (which was ace). Also...

ha, i appreciate what you're getting at dude, and of course you are completely right. but thats what i meant when i said that "we were shit!" wink

if i could sing, that would help. if i could write lyrics, that might help. other than that, any songs i'd write would sound like a ramones reject!

Well I've pretty much recovered from last weekend, although my throat's still not back to normal, and I'm starting that it's probably a cold waiting to happen. Meh.

One thing I didn't mention last week is that I treated myself to a shiny new toy (a Pentax Optio s5i for the people who like gadgets). Very shiny, very small, very cute. I have an urge...

Well that's definitely the most hardcore weekend I've had in a *long* time. ARRR!!!

Friday i joined various people in Camden to help celebrate Kirsty's birthday. Much drinking, moshing and leaping about and utterly f***ing my neck up. Very loud. Very fun (except for the long journey home afterwards).

After only 4 hours sleep I got up Saturday to head to Wantage (not Northampton) for...

too metal for me? you must be joking right?

actually, i dont know what you are talking about because i spend most of my time sitting at home wishing i had something fun to do and wishing i had new tunes to listen too, but i'm lazy--and overworked until summer due to work and school and what not. maybe i will check some stuff out so i dont feel so naive next time you mention something to me. blush
rainwolfkin:
nin on wednesday for me. biggrin

i saw system of a down (actually one tickets off the radio for signing chop suey on the air--embarrassing blush ) a while back. i got knocked out in the middle of the show. i was in the pit desparately trying to get out (i tend to get too beaten up in there, and i'm too small to protect myself sometimes), so when a song would stop, id push to the edge, but then another would start up and i'd be back in the middle before i knew it. anyway, during one of the song breaks, i turned around to push myself back to the edge again, and all i saw was a foot flying right at my face. next thing i know some dude had me in his arms and was carrying my to the door of the venue to allow some fresh air in my lung. turns out a crowd surfer kicked my in the forehead. ouch! it was a lot of fun biggrin

So Friday I went to some pub in Kings Cross with some old friends and proceeded to get heinously mashed whilst dancing to a very eclectic (and often cheesy) selection of rock, punk and goth music. Had to fight to hang onto my cowboy hat as everyone wanted to try it on/steal it, plus met some guy whose band (The Model? The Modern? I forget)...

Well this week I've been grappling with my electric guitar and have been learning fast. Apparently the Washburn Mercury Series has a shorter neck and doesn't like detuning much. And it doesn't like really heavy gauge strings either. I also didn't realise what a total c*** the Flloyd Rose tremolo system is when you change your gauge. However, after discovering Ernie Ball do a custom...

Well here I am again and it's Friday again, thank god. I'm not sure if it's the continuously oppressive weather but I've been a bit on the tetchy side today. Actually it's probably not the weather at all, more like getting stuck with a bunch of s***ty tasks today with not enough time to do them, plus my boss being totally oblivious to how under-resources...

This weekend was mostly spent playing cards and watching the LOTR DVDs (again). Big wuss that I am, I'm totally sucked into the documentaries and the commentaries to do with the making of the movies, and at several points it brought a tear to my eye. For example. Viggo was such a nice chap that when one of the stunt riders said she couldn't afford...
