I didn't fail my math quiz!
I got a 26 out of 35, which is roughly a 74. I have another quiz Wednesday on Linear Inequalities and Absolute Value equations...and I UNDERSTAND that stuff.
I think I am starting to remember Algebra. It was just the first chapter I was rusty.
Now I am lost in Bio. Haha. Carbohydrates, Proteins, Nucleic Acids and Lipids. Fun...

Seriously....I know I said this yesterday, but I am RIGHT THERE with you, dude. I have recently started studying for my GMAT (it stands for Graduate Management Admission Test, and is the test that one has to take in order to get into school for a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA)). I have never doubted my intelligence as much as I have lately. I wonder...if I can't even master the test, how the fuck am I going to be able to cut it in school?? This test requires me to do math that I haven't done since the 8th or 9th grade. That was over 10 years ago!!! Geometry, Algebra, Arithmetic...I have to solve problems in ways that I've never had to think before. I am scared every time I sit down to study.
So yeah....I can totally relate.
But you know what?? We can both do it. The reason why we've never/rarely doubted our intelligence is because although we're smart, we've not been challenged in sooo long. Shit be rusty!!
It's easier said than done, but we have to have confidence in ourselves. We have to realize that the reason why this stuff is hard isn't because we're dumb. We're just out of practice. I went out and purchased a special math workbook to re-teach myself some of these math concepts that have long since been forgotten. I'm banking on that to pull me through the math portion of the GMAT. I have to have confidence that it will, otherwise, I'm setting myself up for a negative self-fulfilling prophecy.
I'll keep my fingers crossed and hopes high for you, if you'll do the same for me.
