I now own a red 96 Subaru Outback. Swapping the registration tomorrow.

$3300, nothing wrong with it, 130K miles, which is nothing to a Subaru engine/transmission. No rust or anything. That's awesome for a 96 ANYTHING in New England.

Looks like I am going to do at least the rear bearings and brakes.
My front end ended up needing ball joints too. Ugh.

So looks like in two weeks or so I'll have to buy the hardware for the rear end.
Then...hopefully...I can drive the damn thing for a while without having to put any more money into it...other than gas.

I get an email from Esurance saying my car has a salvaged/rebuilt title, and they don't cover those cars...so they have to cancel my policy. They will start the cancellation 10/30/09...
and I flip the fuck out thinking that's TOMORROW...

Front and rear wheel bearings
Front and rear brakes
Possibly a new exhaust system...or at least a muffler.

So this week, I think I am going to replace the front bearings and brakes since they are cheapest. Then next week, the rear wheel bearings and brakes.
