Well for sure it's been a blast-
But my time among you is now past
I drank, and rhymed, and laughed a bit
But this comfort I now quit
It's back to hell, and blood, and war
(A life I'm far more suited for)
Gray should be back, his job is done
He may have even had some fun
No-wait- I now forsee
The one...

I'd far rather be an er than est
For er puts limits to the test-
And est's time ticks quite surely past
Until it falls to er at last.
allegro:
Quite a lovely way of thinking.

The Nightmare Before Valentine's Day

We met right after her life was lost-
But she came back: we are star-crossed.
She's the proof that dead girls rule
My fated, fetid, fetish ghoul

I don't mind if she's quite stinky:
In the bedroom, she's ber-kinky!
She's enough to make me drool
My fated, fetid, fetish ghoul

She likes to tie me up in chains,
But she...

Your world's too cold- no lakes of fire
Nor delicate brimstone'd breeze.
But at least it's quiet- I'd be a liar
If I said I weren't quite at ease.
It's nice to dodge all of that epic strife
The war between Heaven and Hell-
And although I'm not long for this quieter life
I intend to be spending it well.

Sounds like a pleasanter time that my day proved to be! BTW, it's worth noting again how amazing you are at creating rhyming poetry.

You've been a moon for so long, I hardly know what to think! It's like that Twilight Zone where people pick out a new body for themselves!

I'm so sorry about Fang. frown It may not be all that recent but I didn't know until I saw it on Catdad's blog and healing can take years. Hugs.

The Book

In a corner, well away
From the other tomes of Gray
Sat a book of color, rust
Idle,
Unread,
Just drawing dust.

From whence it came, I do not know
Nor even when, but even so
Long it seemed best left unread.
About it hung a darkmost dread-
As hand drew near, long shadows loomed
Just once I touched- and thunder boomed
As...

My Life in the Last Few Months, in Ten or Fewer Items

  • In July and August, I worked the equivalent of three months over the course of two.

  • In August, going in to work one Sunday morning, I saved a turtle on the highway. This was the high point of the month.

  • Other than work, my life has involved a lot of blood in small...

Too busy to eat? Take care of yourself and not just the turtles and cats.

I'm trying Celia in the house tonight. A neighbor noticed me outside, and having seen the ramps with stairs for the cats in the back yard, warned me that he's twice seen coyotes a couple blocks down, near an undeveloped grass field at the end of our street, when he was coming home at night this week. And his girlfriend said she saw one dart out of the shrubs next to their house when she came home one night, as well. They've been moving into the suburbs for quite a while and my vet had heard of sightings another 30 blocks further in on the major street a block south of me, so I knew it was just a matter of time.

You had something to hide
Should have hidden it, shouldn't you
Now you're not satisfied
With what you're being put through

It's just time to pay the price
For not listening to advice
And deciding in your youth
On the policy of truth

Things could be so different now
It used to be so civilized
You will always wonder how
It could have been if...

It's early in the morning
I woke right up at three
I'm not sure what I'm doing
So I think I'll have some tea
With some lemon
and some sugar
I'm awake

Dressing with my eyes shut
Might put on my pants
These new socks are slipp'ry
Do that Tom Cruise dance!
That's on purpose
I'm not falling
I'm awake

Oh can't go back to...

With uncertainty there is a distance
From that path of least resistance
That would leave us but to wait
On the dictates of our fate
We do not know- and this is good.
We may do simply as we would.

I honestly don't know, but I do not have the money. I've sold most of my books, there are about 20 now that I'm just finding really hard to get rid of, I'm rereading one now to take it all in! haha. It just makes more sense to rebuy them, I mean realistically you can get most of them used on amazon. it's just knowing when I'm going to have the money to justify doing so?

Not at least till i can afford a masters program, ideally through saving up and then paying off student loans that will undoubtly come with it.

I shipped my parents christmas presents, it took them four months to get there, they were super light, there was a teddy, some t-shirts, and a few little ornaments. it cost 60.
