Nothing wrong with venting. The first few things I wrote were thinly veiled rants..except I had no sex or violence. There is a little bit of sex in my book, but I don't think I wrote those particular parts very well - mostly due to my lack of experience with the subject.
I've got to try and write something kind of brutal and violent, though, just to see if I can do it.
