to look act feel
nothing like you felt
told that this is what it will be
to be an adult
all the world
a grey compromise
something almost never said

HAHAHA
the best thing about that is that it's so ridiculous you couldn't have made that up.
When he's kicked the bucket you should put that in quotation marks on his tomb stone!

got a bike yesterday
rode to Target
bought some curtains
yelled at some lady in a car
'share the road'
95 degrees
It's been almost 2 years
it still feels so damn good
that first high step up to push down
on the pedal greeted by the sun
on your face a morning wind
and a smile
like a grand piano
knowing
you get to...

walking home I found a spot
across from the Church
on whose steps we kissed
pitch black shadow
beneath tall bushes and magnolia trees
thickly perfumed by the scents of honeysuckle and rose
before what seemed a sign
seven street lamps
crookedly aligned like a constellation
it's
a romantic alcove
off a suburban street
I had to stop
and inhale
with closed eyes

that would be daring but a little messy if too much alcohol is involved and I should happen to get dizzy

I haven't read London Fields but strangely enough I ordered it the other day so should have it through the post in the next week!
Although, before that I have Marcel Proust, Kerouac, Selby Junior and Rimbaud to finish off first
I don't know why I insist on reading several books all at once, I find settling with one (unless it's amazing) a little unfulfilling.
What are you reading right now?
P.S. I liked that Berryman poem very much, I can see why you would draw comparison in some of the style to a few of my recent pieces

This is nice. I like this.
arrive Wednesday night 20 minutes early
watch her approach my gate with worry in her eye
(I'm already outside)
sneak up on her trailing her scent
she jumps we kiss exit
the Q33 arrives like a chariot
get off in Queens and take the 7 to Grand Central Station
search out coffee and cookies and grab a taxi
home to 4th Street
bubbles and music...
