As the parent of an Autistic child I'm getting more and more pissed off at the mainstream media's depiction of Autistic people as either cuddly morons or closet maniacs. The simple fact of the matter is that the Spectrum is so broad it is nigh unto impossible to create a realistic depiction of what an Autistic person is. I have yet to meet two that are anything alike with the exception that they all seem to understand each-other.
