Being part of this community has done wonders for my own self-image and it has slain in me at least one huge dragon in the realm of body issues. I won't get into specifics but suffice it to say that being here has been an education thus far and one I've started putting into practice. I'm especially thankful for the Big Cuddly Boys group for proving to me that everyone is sexy to someone and for having a very liberating effect on how I view myself right here and now. While I still find it frustrating being at this weight and the limitations it presents, I also know that I can find happiness and acceptance right here and now no matter what I look like.

Well thank you, Lykke. It amazes me how much society can dictate to us about who and what we are supposed to be. Thank God for SG and places like it that have the guts to stare into the face of The Establishment and all that it attempts to tell us about ourselves and respond to all that deprecating propaganda with a resounding, "Says WHO?" I want to lose weight but I want to lose weight so I can be healthier and live longer, not so people will accept me. The right people already do.
