More importantly however, I want the boy. He will arrive no later than 4 p.m. tomorrow. Sunday I will take him to the airport. It will be one of the hardest things I have done in my life. I will be letting him go across the country, to begin a new life, one that doesn't include me.

I'm sure you know this... but some people like to just be assholes to mkae themselves feel like they're in control of a situation. Like as a customer, no matter whose fault it is, he feels like he should have some kind of leverage because he's the one who will be spending his money. So he's gonna make damn well sure that he uses whatever little power he has. My dad acts like that sometimes. Not much you can do, except remember that it only caused you a short period of inconvenience, but HE will have to live with himself, as an asshole, forever. He probably acts like that in all sorts of situations and in the end it's worse for him than for the people around him.
