Awesome! I heard you can start from any book in the series without being lost, which is fantastic. I decided to go with the first Discworld book published (The Color of Magic). It explains a lot about the world, which is essentially a disc balanced on the back of four elephants standing on top of a giant turtle. It's a real fun read. I have about 30 pages left to go so I'm going to try to finish it the first book before I go to bed.

man, I want to talk to your mom. I'm wondering if it's for me. It sounds really interesting but I find I have a hard time staying interested in one specific thing for an extended period of time (like more than a year).

Monday is a game night, where I'll be in Queen Anne playing Race - I don't know who's showing, but it's been light lately, enabling some number of 2P Race. If you or you and your husband would like to attend, I can check. (New Race handles up to 5!)

Tuesday is election. I'm bumming around bars downtown that night, I think. Wednesday might be D&D, I won't know for a couple days. That leaves Thursday or Friday, unless you want the Monday invite.

But yes. I like hanging out with you guys.

I dislike logical fallacies in general. One that I hated the most at my last place of employment was hasty generalizations - using weak evidence (anecdotes of personal experience) to support sweeping claims on why X should or should not happen.

And we should hang out sometime. Maybe there could be an excursion down to chicago-style stuffed spinach? There's a new game store opening up this weekend - Saturday day/night through Sunday day/night...7509 Aurora, just up from Beth's. I might go Saturday day.
