The trick is to make two complementary soups of slightly different consistencies (the foreground colour needs to be thicker), and then to pure each with appropriate dye. Fill the bowl with the background colour and very, very carefully paint the design in the foreground colour.
Painting the design takes practice; I have yet to perfect this. But I thought you, of all people, deserved freaky pirate soup.

And "I've never been to me" reminds me of Take Your Carriage Clock and Shove it by Belle & Sebastian because I think its almost a note for note rip off.
