GOOD GRIEF - NOT BEEF!

I just want to put something straight
About what should be on your plate,
If it's corned beef you're makin'
You're sadly mistaken,
That isn't what Irishmen ate.

If you ever go over the pond
You'll find it's of bacon they're fond,
All crispy and fried,
With some cabbage beside,
And a big scoop of praties beyond.

Your average Pat...

What a thing I have missed so far in LA, my local. In ireland, there are so many pubs that you always have one within stumbling distance of home, always refered to as your local. In cork, my favorite local was henchys, right on the corner between military hill and montenotte. A rugby pub, which always made for a full house om match days but...

so I may get down there sooner than I think... we'll have to find another place to get a decent meal.
cineman:
Many thanks! I am very much, can't wait, insanely looking forward to it.

Gots to find a way to see Van fucking HALEN before I bolt, though. I was out of town for the L.A. - area shows thusfar and too busy / broke to fly off somewhere and buy a scalped ticket, etc.

(The ship has indeed come in, but the financial cargo is still a little while offshore, if you catch my drift.)

Are you still big pimpin' at LN? If so, PLEASE tell me you guys are doing a full-blown concert DVD or something. I've got to get that sucker the day it hits the streets.

All the best to you, BDF!

P.S. You've gots to visit us in Roma this Summer if you can. You'll know a few people there, no doubt. SG in the villa! (and I'm not talking about a one-week rental, either).

Last night, I found two friends from Ann Arbor that I hadn't heard from in years. Brings back lot's of thoughts and feelings from many years ago, back when even *I* was young!

edit for those familiar with Ann Arbor: this pic was taken just before a night at The Nectarine Ballroom, where I was a bartender in the Sludge Club downstairs and my buddy...

All Ann Arbor Girls are Crazy. I tended to shy away from them. They all wanted to save the earth even though they used a can of Aqua Net a night. Give me a down River white trash chick any day. skull

I have a housemate now, one of my co-owners is moving in. We have plans for the kitchen cabinets, all Ikea with granite countertops. We're going to keep the main room as a dining room and use the library more as a tv room. Soon we'll have the garage turned into a home theatre/poker room and an office. Floors will be slate or polished travertine...

2008 will be about working fewer hours for more pay at work, working long hours on remodeling my new house, relaxing enough to enjoy my new house, and going out enough to hopefully meet someone special to help me enjoy my new house.

I hope 2008 brings you everything you are looking for.

Any of you guys have any free time this weekend? Hard to imagine during christmas, but if so, I could use a hand finishing up some remodeling. If any of you could help it'd really be fantastic. My budget's running too low to keep paying out!

Hang some drywall, replace some electric receptacles, sand some floors, paint some walls.

I'm on a redeye back to...
