Funny writer's strike video from a guy I know named Fred. He's an actor on SNL.

Glad to hear that. i know what it's like to go into the holidays strapped financially, it doesn't make the holidays enjoyable.

I decided not to take the instructors position. I just have too much going on in my life right now, and they already told me I am going to be activated for May and June if I didn't. Thanks for the advice though!

STRIKE DAY 24

Well, it is pretty much the same old shit. But I have been sick this week, so I have not been near the picket line.

The Media Moguls have stopped saying stupid shit in public, which I would guess has something to do with them looking like asshole every time they do. Someone must have told them to shut their pie holes....

The strike being over. I heard it before I went in the shower the other day.

Methinks "science" is its own rationale sometimes. More likely it was some NASA or Airforce assholes who wondered what it would be like to put a cat in zero gravity.

STRIKE DAY 11

It has bee an interesting experience so far. I think many writers (solitary creatures by nature) are understanding the power of numbers we have and for the first time, being able to stand up for what they know is right. I believe the kids call that empowerment.

I live a block away from CBS Television City, so I just walk down there...

Thanks, I appreciate that. I don't expect anyone to take sides, of course. Particularly inasmuch as the whole donnybrook is king-hell ludicrous to begin with.

The Nation has a good article on the WGA's effective use of the web and video in getting their message out. I'm trying to convince my boss that this is the model for labor communications that we should be moving towards for out clients.

STRIKE

We will be going on strike sometime over the next three or four days. I would guess Monday. Does not affect me that much because I make money here and I act in commercials. The pilot I worked on may be dead.

The studios are being amazing assholes. They have not negotiatied in good faith and clearly took us for granted. Now they will...

Tomorrow I have to work on some pitches to a TV show. Can't tell you the name, but it would be nice to sell one, make some quick easy money. I like my money easy.

A cat is staring at me. It wants something. I will ignore it.

Carved pumpkins today. I went with assymetical. That's how I fucking roll.

Saw Rendition. Good movie. The...

Good luck on the TV pitch. Just promise me it isn't going to be about the Geico gecko...the cavemen have quickly worn out their welcome. Happy belated Halloween. skull

I got nothin. Worked all last night on a pilot. I was pretty aggressive trying to get my way on the way we were shooting something. Luckily the EP supported me.

We'll see how it turns out. I could have either fucked myself with the show runners or saved the show. But I believe in taking chances and saying how I feel. Hopefully it worked....

I think you gotta go for it the way you see it.....otherwise you'll feel compromised all the time and i can't see that working in a creative environment...good luck with it...

You have been on fire in here lately, and I love it.

The latest Ron Paul thread is a prime example.

Last Comic Standing knew I was quite upset with how Ant and Alonso Boden treated me during the audition process, so they threw me a bone. Not only did they televise me calling Ant an asshole on the season finale, but now I just found out they are sending me $1,200.

I got paid to call Ant an asshole on national television. How sweet is...

I don't watch sitcoms. I used to, but I just think they are shit now. Take The Office, people keep telling me to watch it and I do pop in and check it out once in a while. I find nearly all of the actors to be not funny. End of story. And I will always compare it to the British version, which is superior...

I like 30 Rock. Goofy NBC/SNL-ish humor has always appeal to me out of everything else on broadcast TV...

But you're right about the NBC paige on that show, I keep hoping he gets into a traffic accident.

Dah! I was struggling for something to put there...

I have conflicted feelings about my occupation.

Big, big day. Can't say what, but it could be life altering in a good way or an epic, costly let down. Very nervous.

eeek

Well, that went about as bad as it possibly could have. Worse than my lowest expectations.

Major depression has now set in....strike that. Total devastation.

sorry to hear your day was not what you wanted.....if its any consolation my experience is that the shit times are where the gems all hide....look at it like compost...its just fertilizer for something to grow in....you will get what you want if you just keep on at it...whatever it was...and let yourself feel the dissapointment...it will only make you stronger....

I like cats and wacky shit as much as anybody. Stupid people with no sense of humor are making their own now though:

Just got that one sent to me a few days ago, and I that's when I realized, that the lolcats will probably show up in a McDonald's commercial or something similar pretty soon.

The future is lolsecretz.
