It was quite the internet urban legend when it came out, since they got the author completely wrong. It's got some great lines in there but I think my favorite is:

Don't be reckless with other people's hearts. Don't put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Oh and I did in fact write my friend Sam. I told her that I would like to come visit her sometime this summer. I think it would be really odd since we used to be lovers in Europe and really haven't seen in other since we came stateside (so say 3 years or so). I'd be wondering the entire time if we were going to sleep together, and probably hoping so secretly.

Actually not cynical and jaded today- in general yes, but I was actually serious and pensive when I wrote that. I really am trying to remember what it was like to love someone in that way.

I see no point in pining over my lost innocence any more than I do over my virginity. No regrets- everything I have done has made me who I am today and I wouldn't change anything for the world. But there is something valuable in the past that I am attempting to reconnect with.

Now a question for you:
What makes you feel alive?

Yesssssssssssssss, you said splodey! That's the name of one of my japanese fighting fish. He's red and pretty. The blue one's name is Guymas (like gwy-mus) but I call him Guy (like hey, you know, that one guy) for short. They're always mad because I put them in the same tank that has a clear wall between them and they can be mad and pretty all day smile Yes I'm mean, I know but they're beautiful.
