I will say that I do understand what you mean about your money situation. I'm at a stage where I wouldn't mind taking some courses part-time, but don't have the money, and still owe on ancient student loans. So I can't do it, no matter how many people tell me to go for it.
But it seems that you have someone close to you who's able to help, unless I'm reading that wrong. That complicates things, because you'll be indebted to them, and it may hang over you while you pursue your goal. And that may taint it, at least in your mind. Wish I could give you some good advice.
