Nothing much to say. Still hanging in southern Thailand, waiting to return to Australia for xmas. Surprisingly, for those not in the know, the Thais celebrate xmas. In fact they celebrate everything. Thai national holiday, Buddhist holidays, Valentine's Day, xmas, easter. I have not noticed Jewish holidays yet, but wait a few years.

A few pics from a nearby shopping mall. People are the same...

Thanks, man. Time heals most wounds. It also creates more kidney stones. So we'll see.

I am a mass of contradictions (which just proves that I am human). I enjoy travelling, but hate the travel process. Tomorrow I will be travelling to the island of Koh Lanta, in southern Thailand, in the province of Krabi. My reason--a girl (sigh). Will this work out? No, it never does. Anyway, have to awaken early, take a tuk tuk to the small bus...

Congrats to the US citizens who voted for Obama, and at least a glimmer of sanity. We live in a world with rampant militarism, a declining and warming environment, growing poverty, and the idiots who would support someone like Romney deny all of this, and believe that the world is 6,000 years old. I am not claiming that Obama is going to solve all of...

A week in Singapore. With my perambulations I spent a week in a backpackers in Little India, Singapore. Little India is definitely one of the more interesting areas of Sing city, certainly cheaper and more fun to stay. A backpacker place is $20 a night (Sing$ = ~$18us). For this you get a dorm bunk, breakfast, and a fun common room with a big screen...

Here am I, in the southern Thai city of Surat Thani. A pleasant place, filled with lots of good people, plus a few no so good---just like everywhere. Here for a month so far, caught between several conflicting impulses. Go home to Australia, see my family, brothers etc. I will do that, but also, fucked up financially. Lost 90% of my money in a financial...

Still in Thailand, looking for my next destination, trying to keep an upbeat outlook on life. 50/50, sometimes 60/40. But still trying.

In bed, playing with my computer having just screwed a hooker, who is still in the bed sleeping next to me. What does that say about my life to date, after 5 decades I am at this point, paying for boom boom and listening to cliched responses? I cannot even figure if this is good or bad, or simply expedient. Having said all of that...

I was contacted a few days ago by a former girlfriend from the Thai city of Surat Thani. She is young, cute, smart and sexy, and she wants to see me again, even though I walked out on her last year. Why you may ask? The reason is that her job keeps her busy 12 hours a day, and I grew tired of waiting around...

Now in the 'historic city' of Sukhothai in northern Thailand. Five centuries ago this city was the capital of the first Thai kingdom, now ruins, a world heritage site, and tourists. You can spend a day here. I used a bike to get around, dozens of temples and palaces, large and small. Hot, sunny, fun, lots of water and shades. What is left is the...

It has been a while, but here is a new blog post. Not sure who is going to read this, but I cannot blame anyone for not reading. My later posts were not that exciting, and it has been quiet a while, as I stated earlier. However, here it is.

Still in Thailand, been travelling in south east asia for the past few months: Malaysia,...
