Nerves in overdrive
No time to explain away
The doubt's here to stay

Haikus are nifty
Keen, cool, cliched, over played
Something goes right here

An urban farmer
Bethany was not to be
The chicken has died

you've got legs right up
to your neck - you're making me
a physical wreck

(ps - I have to admit, it was not I who realized that lyric is in haiku format, but I forget offhand who told me. It's my total favorite haiku ever, though. Thanks, Rod.)

Now watch it collect dust. Life can be bitter and tend to throw wrenches in that machine though. Godluck & godspeed.

Have you ever wanted something so badly that you are afraid of even thinking about it? Are you holding onto something so tight that it hurts your chest?

Is there a wish that is so dear to you that it steals your breath?

Keeping something so close can be detrimental. Clutching that secret to your bosom is not the answer. Sometimes it is best to...

i can't begin to tell you how timely this journal entry is to me. i have been having chest pain since sunday. i've allowed my life's stress and strain to physically take a toll on me. no more, i say! NO MORE! i have to let go now.

i got a fortune cookie the other day that said, "Your Courage will Guide Your Future". it is my mantra right now. i was telling echobunny this too.

thank you

See, I'm the polar opposite of that. I either freeze up because I'm too scared of sounding like an idiot, or I babble non-stop because I want someone to like me.

I'm not very good at interacting with people. The agoraphobia and SAD probably don't help my social ineptitude either. It's easier on the internet because people aren't staring at me.

I just want to reassure everyone, at this time, I AM wearing pants. I AM wearing pants.

I enjoy being sleep deprived.

I mean, I do not enjoy the haze that usually accompanies sleep deprivation or the slowing of my reflexes due to a lack of sleep. What I do enjoy is the force of will required to work through things in spite of being at a disadvantage.

For me one of the greatest things in life is to push the limits...

The Tigers win the central......that's funny.

Just don't ever fly out here to go to a game at Comerica. It's a mall that just happens to have a diamond in the middle. I hate it. I miss Tiger Stadium.

Under 28 USC 2201, in a case of actual controversy any court of the United States...may declare the rights and other legal relations of any interested party seeking such declaration, whether or not further relief is or could be sought.

a. Rule 57 provides that the existence of another adequate remedy [i.e. money damages at law] does not preclude a declaratory judgment (which is equitable...

Forget robots, cats, chickens, and pigs.

The cow is the most majestic animal on the face of the earth... next to the penguin, quail, and three-toed sloth.

Remember the little gremlins that came out of the control panel and started chewing on your ears like gum? I had to beat them off ya with a baseball bat! It took hours!

(referring to your comments) Thanks, I see a family resemblence. Maybe he's my long lost unkle or something smile

And on a serious note, I just want to say in my own defence (referring to the above comment): I just don't have any decent digital pics of myself yet. I'm trying to work that out. And besides, the profile pic I do have is prettier than me.

By the way, I'm from Sac too (currently in SF). I grew up in Rio Linda. What part do you live in?

Everyone should listen to the Trash Can Sinatras's "January's Little Joke". It is a wonderful song.

My favorite lyrics from the band are:

Though i knew what argue meant
And I knew what punish meant
And I knew what embarrass meant
I never found out what achieve meant

I even liked Fairground Attraction, Frank...

Sugarcubes - I spent New Year's 99/00 in my room watching a 50s horror movie marathon (The Astounding She-Demon n others) and around midnight rewatched The Sugarcubes's live video "Live Zabor".

This is a GREAT video! They rock live; it's like Missing Persons crossed with Captain Beefheart. I bought it for FIVE BUCKS at WALMART. Besides the live stuff there are weird "spoken word" parts with each Sugarcube, and they are....out...

I decided the best course of action was to listen to lots of St. Etienne.

My favorite St. Etienne albums in order:

5. The Sound of Water
4. The Misadventures of Saint Etienne
3. So Tough
2. Good Humor
1. Tiger Bay

Erica, let's go out tonight.

Seeing that bold time reminds me of the 2001 movie line:

"It's full of stars"

reminds me of Contact's "It's so beautiful" which a group of student filmakers ripped off sooo bad on a film i worked on a few years ago. like someone's not going to notice that...geeks. geeks with lots of time and DV stock and loads of backing...damn, why didn't i get famous on that one?

it's happy hour again and again and again

oh wait. that's the housemartins.

During my undergraduate education, there was this class on first amendment issues.

In one of the sessions for this class, a well respected member of the class decided to just decided to start saying which side of the political fence everyone sat on.

He said so and so is conservative, so and so is liberal, going through the entire class except me.

I asked him...

thanks for the advice bro, i know i'm the one who has put myself out of the proverbial "friend pool" .
i do have friends whose company i thouroghly enjoy, it's just so rare that any of us ever get to spend any kind of quality time together. i guess the growing up thing we all go through really hits home once everyone has real jobs and some have families and everyone gets caught up in their own lives.

I used to think being sick was loads of fun when I was a little girl. It meant lots of chocolate milk and staying home from school and watching soap operas. Then I grew up and realized I couldn't miss classes. Poop.

PS: If you've had contact with Satan, aka Richard Gere, tell him I want Vermont.

I'm still sick right now.
