i've been around for a while, but i rarely post any comments..it seems that a lot of people know each other for some time and i feel like i don't have something interesting to say i keep quiet..it has absolutely nothing to do with the dynamics of the group..it just me.. i think the group is great..and the bachelorette/bachelor party sounds like a great idea.....anyway....it's great that you wrote to say hi

Actually, Morrissey did perform several Smiths songs (I counted 4 total) when I saw him last July at HOB. It wasn't a whole set, mind you, but still gratifying. Though I understand not wanting to pay near 50 dollars just to hear him for an hour - tops.

Smiths/Morrissey night at Delilah's is a great time - especially if, like me, you never got over your high school predilection for lying around on your bedroom floor, pretending to be depressed, listening to the Smiths on your crap cassette player. Basically, the dj spins smiths and morrissey all night (exclusively) and everyone sings along while drinking way too many Newcastles. Ok, everyone sings along and I drink way too many Newcastles.
No time to write right now...but I'm totally curious to read everyone's recap of Sunday night...it'll be so interesting to see which details stick in whose mind.

LA was fun, but no tan. I thought about going to the beach but the idea of dealing with weekend traffic out there and back was too horrifying for me.
It was a mellower trip than usual though -- usually I go out there and party my ass off the whole time and come back with wild stories to tell. This time, I did go out and party, but not as much as usual, and nothing really wild happened.
But it was still fun!
