I love living in the past. What I mean is, I'll choose a particular period of history and just sort of "live through it" in my mind. I've been in WWI and post war era for a while. To me this period more or less set the stage for everything that happened in the 20th century.

You are my favorite. I sympathize with you. and feel the same way. I will say that feelings of powerlessness, apathy, and melancholy that commonly go along with aquiring a better understanding of america, or say the world, seem to even effect some of my favorite and most driven professors. Hmm, maybe never forgetting those feelings helps them keep their edge.

I mentioned you in my newest blog entry because reading this entry last night made me get all philosophical and I started thinking (usually a bad thing). You should go read it. And I swear, it's not more depressed whining this time!

Well, my experience wasn't actually that bad. Just the kind of thing that happens when you always avoid mixed drinks, but they're what's free, and need to reach a certain level of drunkeness due to issues of karaoke.
