It feels wrong to disagree with such a cute person... BUT.. lets have some perspective here. Yes, not good for her that she was convicted, but was she set up? Not so sure. She tried to stop the customs officials when they went to open her bag.
Also bare in mind that the prosecuters were pushing for the death sentence, whice is the NORMAL penalty for importing pot, and one which many equally unfortunate people (although perhaps not so white/pretty/western) have been sentenced to. Does it say something about people that they seem to think that a pretty white girl is more deserving of our sympathy then a spotty old dark skinned man?
