Tonight was hipster night! And crush night.

I attended an art opening, which was very cool. Diverse art in a great space. and complimetary PBR A few friends from lovecraft tattoo were showing work. I'd talk about it more if i weren't drunk. After the art show we went to cafe 9 to catch some music and a few more drinks.

So an old crush...

Thank you all for the comments regarding my dad's surgery. It went well and he's doing ok, but he ended up having a full replacement instead of a partial. I guess they found stuff they couldn't see on the xray once they opened it up. It seems kind of odd that they wouldn't do an MRI or anything. Anyway- it just meens more time in...

I really enjoy seeing my family on the holidays. Today was a lot of fun. It was a bit odd that both my little brother and sister brought significant others to the festivities. I kinda felt like a dweeb. Whatever- at least they're both extremely cool people. I ate a bunch of great food and feel like the fat bastard that I am about now....

I got to see QOTSA last week too -- I felt so old there. Every other person besides my friend and I were like 15 and wearing wolf masks.

Way to be a chump and not go to the SGNY function. If there was an SGCT thing and I had someone to head up there with I would totally go.

Bleh!

PS -- My thoughts are with your father with his surgery.
laerkai:
Your pops will be fine. My dad had to go for knee surgery a few years back. He played WAY to much soccer in his younger days. Those crazy South American kids,,, but anyway, I found humor that they wrote in sharpie YES and NO on each knee. wink

I just finished listening to Mozart's Requiem. It's one of my favorite works, partially due to fornd memories of singing it in high school. Those of you who have heard me sing along to my favorite tunes must be saying to yourselves, "self, that boy can't sing worth a damn!" I used to. It seeems that years of cigarettes and booze have had a lasting...

I've been working way too much lately. I've been doing a bunch of theatre work nights and weekends and it's making me miss it. More the people and attitude than the work necasaraly. My yale group this week was awsome, really good kids who were all about getting shit done despite a bunch of bullshit. They were fun as hell too.

Other than that- the...

laerkai:

It's parade day!

post parade update:
My mom and aunt came over and we walked downtown for the parade. It was more fun than I was expecting. Much of the walk was spent admiring many of the really great houses around mine. We found a spot on the parade route near the end and after almost an hour of spectating I got a call from...

So here's my question. Why don't girls like me? Granted I'm a bit chubby and occasionally broke........Wait, I may be on to something here.
allied:
True, I guess if I were a girl, I wouldn't like you either. But, I'm a straight guy and I think you're cool. Go figure? biggrin

Seriously, cheer up, bro. I'm in the same boat. We can start a club...

Insane debauchery last night with WelnTaod, SmokingBuddha, and King_of_Skulls. We had dinner at mamoun's and then went to our local goth night for a few drinks. Had a ridiculous amount of fun mostly based around a pair of girls. I'll just say the one being led around on the leash had a strategic rip in her jeans that allowed us all a...

Here I am home, beer in hand at 8:00 and I'm on the clock until 9:30. God bless the person who invented the four hour minimum.

Not much is new here in Benland. Work has calmed down a bit since my boss has returned from vacation. He also seems to be somewhat on top of getting his part of the paperwork for completion of my...

Turns out space was indeed getting tight w/ Toronto Prom... I e-mailed spaces +1 for you, myself and SmokingBuddha. I reckon those floater space would be other SGCT members. I also through out availability for carpooling for New Englanders for the camping trip. wink biggrin

Today's horrid workday was redeamed by a visit from WelnTaod and DarkRabbit. We had some drinks, listened to some tunes, had some drinks, talked about funny threads, drank, and watched some comedy central presents episodes I had taped, most notably Mitch Hedburg and Lewis Black.

Also, I got a hot new avatar thanks to the unassailably cool Virtue.

Movie night was a blast....
