I think I am high. No really. Most of this apartment smells as if Cypress Hill is having a concert here. The smell is getting annoying. Are my downstairs neighbors drying it out in the oven or something? Did they mistakenly set it on fire??

SO I promise that I am not doing anything in this picture other than protecting myself from Roxy. She was...

Thanks for all your lovely comments. So I'm not sure about doing it again. The burlesque, I mean. Perhaps if I really do a good job this time, like with practice and choreography, maybe I'll feel very confident. And if I feel confident, perhaps I will actually invite people to the show this time. smile

I've got today off, and happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day....

YOU look slightly sinister.

My pic is the "You did NOT just call me Elvis Costello" face. What's your excuse?
oso:

So I did it.

Yeah, last night.

My first burlesque show ever. It didn't go exactly as planned as I had forgotten a couple of props. However, for having decided to do the show on Saturday night, I had ZERO choreography, so I was happy to have made it through alright. It's been a LONG time since I've done any dancing of any sort.

Erin...

Just dropping by to say hi. Hope you had a great holiday.

Oooh, this is fun. I totally ripped this from India's journal. biggrin

I made a quiz, and I am supposed to be WAXING MYSELF, and doing various other grooming atrocities, but I thought I'd procrastinate...

How well do you think you know me?

well, i really didn't know you at ALL until today, when i was sailing around the site on "official business." i'm a sucker for a nice profile pic, so i took a peek. so THIS was the person they hired for missy's assistant, i nodded. i remembered when they were looking.

and i can't believe it! dood, for real, i thought they were gonna get some starstruck early-20s punk rockette desperate to get down with the SG sisthren. they got you instead.

i'm glad they got you. smile

so i'll take this test, i promise. but i thought i'd say hi, at least.

EDIT: i got a 40. not bad, i figure.

yay for procrastination! i feel like i've been very productive during my winter break, but i also feel like i've been doing a whole lot of procrastinating.

it was good to see you before the holidays. maybe we'll see eachother more than like twice a year in 2005.

I like Pom Wonderful pomegranate juice.

It's thundering and raining hard outside.

The performance I was going to do on Monday evening has been postponed by me. Call me chicken shit or whatever, but I was NOT ready to do my first burlesque performance. Not Monday at least.

I had such great anxiety about it that I couldn't sleep the other night. It reminds me...

regardless, your hair looks super cute.

It's cold. I mean, really cold. 47 degrees. Yeah yeah, I know, it's not the Midwest, but 47 is cold for Los Angeles. eeek

Rain. More and more of it in the next few days.

I wish you could see some of the outfits I've had to resort to wearing since I've been unable to do my laundry. Matching lingerie has been out the window for...

Mostly a mish-mash of semi-fashionable clothes that have started to fall apart. Nothing really exciting.

Althoooough..... there was the one September while I was in college when I finally had the chance to get busy with this girl I'd been pining over for two years. WIthout the ability to divine my future, I left my apartment that day wearing the only clean pair of underpants left in the dresser: the ol' Christmas drawers. Santa, Rudolph, Frostie and the whole gang were riding shotgun with One Eyed Willie.

Had I know that I would be bumping uglies that night, I would certainly have skipped my classes and washed my damn underwear. Or at the very least gone commado style.

Fortunately, by the time we got around to getting around, we were both so liquored-up and pie-eyed that I could have been wearing those drawers on my head and it wouldn't have made a difference.

I HATE to do laundry! It is the worst since I don't have a washer and live up so many stairs.
You may see me in the laundramat wearing trekking clothes from Nepal so it looks like I'm ready to tackle a mountain. Very NOT cute and sexy.
And I love Fabreze!!!

I wrote this almost exactly a year ago...

I just realized that in 5 months, I will be 30! Then I'll be old PLUS 7. When I was around 16, I was convinced that 23 was absolutely archaic, so that's my inside joke with myself.

It would be a big deal if I still did stupid things like compare myself to people, especially others my...

my life started over at 30 when i got a divorce. it was sort of a re-birth for me, so i never really went through the bad feelings about getting older. i should think about getting married again and then divorcing right before i turn 40. maybe that's the key!
remyx:
i just hit 31 last month.

here's my logic on it: treat the event as your 10-year anniversary of turning 21. (though i'm guessing that event was a good one)

Dear Rain,

I like you most of the time. We had a decent relationship, you and I. However, I'd like to bring it to your attention that I do not appreciate you assaulting my poor car. You took advantage of a weakness I was not aware of, and now the inside of my car is a cross between a swimming pool and a greenhouse!

Is...

Why am I sitting here in front of the computer right now? Answer: I am out of it and not feeling so well.

This morning I was awakened by cramps that were so miserable, so bad, that I couldn't go back to sleep for a bit, and I half considered going to the hospital. Ok, TMI is over now. I think I might have still...

I hate it when my body rebels. I treat it pretty ok most of the time. Sometimes a little (or a LOT) of sleep deprivation is probaly my biggest problem. And I'll tell you the crap it pulls in return is simply unfair.

I'm glad you didn't have to go to the hospital. I really haven't ever been to the hospital for any sort of physical illness before. The whole experience of going to them is completely unplesant.

Maybe give yourself some pampering (the full on girly treatment with bath beads and toenail polish). That always helps mind, body and soul right?

kiss

Happy New Year!
Sorry you're not feeling well.
Take lot's of vitamin C- alcohol depletes that faster than anything!
Do you want to go shopping downtown this weekend?
I need my hot cybergirl fix!
