Alright I want to clear something up from my last blog.

Yes, I want a puppy. We're not getting one right now because as some of you remember, we just had to put down our old dog Midnight only a couple of weeks ago. It's too soon for a new puppy yet. Also, right now we don't have our own place. We live in a...

Ok, this is a serious one. Sorry guys.

I don't often watch the news, because it is always depressing. However lately, I've been catching some snippets. Since I've lived here, there have been several murders (not all IN Asheville). There were at least 2 children and one elderly lady killed, all in seperate incidents.

One of the children - an 8 year old girl -...

i'm gonna have to go and disagree with you to a small extent. we dont know what the reckless driving incident was before. it could have been as mundane as backing up into a parked car. reckless driving while on duty is (at least up here in MA) any kind of driving thing from backing into a car or speeding to hitting a bus-load of nuns and killing them all. now does that excuse what he did, no, but it may have been something that was a "just dont do it again" situation. and how many people out there have moving violations in their cars?i've got 2 (speeding and passing on the right) neither endngered anyone but both could be called reckless driving.

also, you have to take into account that this guy's career as a cop is completely gone. he will never again work for law enforcement. and he'll live out the remainder of his days guilt ridden as a rent-a-cop. some would consider that punishment enough.

I've hit that point with the news too. This city is starting to fall apart from the rampant drugs and gang activity. There was a guy stabbed outside a bar 2 blocks from my apartment because he wouldn't give someone a cigarette. It's illegal to smoke in ... well anywhere here now so he was outside the bar smoking at 1am and some guys walking down the sidewalk asks for a smoke, they get into a stupid argument and the guy gets stabbed int he gut and dies in the parking lot. I'm seriously considering moving out of town to try to get away from it, or at least to a quiet out of the way neighbourhood.

Thanks! I'll like them way more when they're healed. I'm so over this whole swollen feet thing.

The cat is still adapting to his new home. We started him out in our bedroom, and he got used to that pretty quick. Then we started letting him roam the rest of the house, but only when the dogs were outside. When Midnight was around, he could be in the house because Mecrutio already knew him and knew he wasn't a threat. But Femi...

Hope you're having a great weekend! Pets are so amusing to watch when they are put into an unfamiliar environment, especially if they aren't used to stairs. So sorry to hear of your loss as well, losing a pet, even after a good long life is awful.

Mecrutio looks like my Cassidy love love

The dogs were probably just curious. I don't think they would have hurt him - but you probably don't want to try to leave them unsupervised .... Does kitty have claws? if so, trust me, Mecrutio would have told them who is boss smile
Zoe, the runt and only about 6 1/2 lbs, runs the house. Sometimes, Darren just walks by when she is on the couch and she makes sure to dig her claws on his back side just to show him that she is boss... Poor doggie yelps and runs away with his tail between his legs...

This was written by Jhay.

Today I had to put my puppy to sleep.

Midnight was a good dog. He was my friend. And every day for the last 15 years he put a smile on my face. He was a joy to be around. He loved everyone, even cats and squirrels. And I will never forget him. He and I went through a...

I think you and I are the same person. When I heard about those glass boxes the first thought I had was MUST GET NAKED THERE! I doubt that will happen because they're in the middle of a giant tourist attraction, but some kind of clothed thing would be so much fun there.

Edit: I wrote my response and hit post before I even read your blog. So I'm editing this to say that I'm super sad for your loss. I love my pets more than I think I'd love kids, I know how much it sucks to lose one that's been with you for a long time. *hugs* to you both.

Too lazy to write a real blog.

- We have way more stuff than we thought. Took too long to pack, completely filled up 16-foot truck, with some stuff in the car. Left at 1pm instead of 8am, without cleaning the place. In fact, the dog left them a lovely stain in the middle of the living room carpet (a side effect of his medications...

I'm a big Swift fan. I should probably just pick up a copy of his complete prose at some point and plow through the entire thing. Have you read much of him?

So sorry to hear about Midnight.

So I live in Asheville, North Carolina now. I hate moving. The whole ordeal took longer than planned, but we're here now. Right now Jhay has some friends in from Raleigh for the 4th of July so it just feels like we're on vacation right now. I'll give a better update later when it has actually sunk in that I live here now.

quick update

Moving to Asheville, NC in a coupla days. My last day of work was Friday. I never saw my trainee again after the one time she was there, but whatever. That just means I got to listen to my music and sing my little heart out like I used to. Friday was a pretty busy day, but I'd rather have that than the...

Yesterday if you were in my neck of the woods, you experienced a major thunderstorm. It was fine, partly cloudy, then suddenly the sky was dark and it was absolutely pouring. And hailing. And windy. With lightning and thunder directly overhead, shaking the buildings. I was at work, watching the parking lot flood, sure we were going to lose power. I wouldn't have cared if...

Awesome 3of5 let me borrow his awesome camera, so this weekend I shot 2 new sets, with Jhay as my photographer. They are both outdoor sets, because I give the people what they want. I'm not going to submit them one right after the other because 1) I'm not that kind of chick, and 2) I like one a lot more than the other. It's...

I think my dream job would be as a photographer. I don't like taking pictures of people so much, but definitly landscapes and the occasional wildlife. I think it's my mom's fault: she was a photographer when I was younger. She concentrated on portraiture, though. (Incidentally, I was her model for most things - I was in calendars, the newspaper, even on her business cards....
