thats the EXACT thing that happened to me, over a year ago. i make my final court fee payment of $100 (each month) this week. yup-- thats easily $1200. losing your DL will take a few months. its not so bad. but it is at the same time...
AA meetings also arent bad. just monotonous. some hit ya in the gut with the testimonials.
all in all... MY dui cost me about 3500. but that includes a laywer. have fun being fingerprinted and photo-ed for the PD! (my body mods descriptions were intense.. and THAT was last fall!)
take care... and take it light. its not so bad... just time consuming. alcohol awareness classes are intense as well.. may open your eyes. they did for me.
