I really want this screenprint of Noodle. I am being such an art whore it is blowing my mind. It's because I keep thinking of the bare walls in my new condo and how I don't want to cover them with Dragonball Z posters. (Nothing wrong with DBZ, mind you, but after 2 years you get a little sick of the same thing.)

I would say that Japanese modern art just prtoves my theory that it is a strange, strange land full of strange, strange people, but modern art anywhere is like that. in america they use real urine and feces to do religious pictures and call it modern art. At least the Japanese stuff is fun to look at, if a bit unsettling. Reminds me a but of Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce, which has featured Demon Sultan Azathtoh as a villain every so often and generally has very Lovecraftian plots. it's my favorite show short of Reno 911 and the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Great Painting....
Patti got back from Japan the other day and we're meeting up for drinks tonight. She had a blast and loved Nagasaki. If we can save enough money, we're going to stay in Tokyo for a week in December. That would be the greatest. (So if anyone wants to give Patti some money, please do so.
)

Seriously awesome. Repressive societies breed such fantastic expressions of art and literature. Our "open" society often creates lazy ass sheep with no true self-expression.(One of the reasons I like SG is that it attracts a lot of people who don't fall into this categorization)

very impressive!

that's awesome, i hope the first strip club i go to has hot chinese chicks, that way when i go to my bank, i can picture the chinese girls that work there naked with a little more accuracy. so are you going bowling tonight? i may or may not have a surprise for you if you go.
due to my lack of cable, i haven't seen that video yet, but i can tell you the rest of that cd freakin rocks. there's this one song where this guy is rapping about spinach, it's awesome.

i agree with bombing those cock-a-roaches! they are not even a good representation of the Muslim faith. we should stick the Christian child raping priests over there with them before we drop the big one!
im not a conspiracy expert, but part of me wonders if all of this is part of the set up for the new world order thats inevitably coming, so we all accept it with open arms to feel "safe".

Interestingly enough, being in England at the moment, I've found that most British people aren't even thinking of retaliation. I was initially shocked at this, before someone (kindly) pointed out to me that it's mostly a very American notion to seek retaliatory strikes after these sorts of things. I'm just chalking this one up to being another little difference between the cultures that you normally wouldn't think of.
notoriousDUG woke me at the asscrack of dawn to drive back to my place, and after I changed the CDs in the trunk's CD changer, I locked my keys in the car. We tried to open it with a coathanger to no avail. ::sigh:: So I took the train in, and next time I see him I must remember to bring my spare car key....

yay! My girlfriend and I had our first big kiss on the 4th of july. We were at a beach, this was back in 1999, a ta beach in Massachusetts, watching fireworks. And we started kissing, and then people started applauding as we kissed right through the big fireworks finale.
and expect something to arrive later today from me regarding the birthday.

My most humbled apologies for not being able to make it last evening
but by the time I made even back into town it was already 9pm...by then I figured after getting ready and all that I would've made it there at like 11pm and everyone would've been long and gone (or very close to it).
I guess this means I owe you one? Perhaps the next bowling gathering I'll buy you beer(s) or whatever.
Again sorry...
