I agree with the comments about the cops, and also, find a male friend or two close by who can come over and sit with you when things get weird. I know that sounds sexist, but fuck it. Until your boyfrend gets home, you need someone who can be there to help when needed, even if its just to be the scary voice that says "Who is it?" when someone knocks at the door.

My girlfriend gets late night drunken calls at her place from her dirtbag ex, and she wont let me know where the fucker lives because she knows it will take the cops to pull me off him.
