Meh,ya dropped her. Like everybody else said: it happens. So much better than my fear when I read "lessons learned" - obviously you're here and chipper, so nothing too awful, but I was scared that you'd laid her down at speed! And crash bars are cool. You think they're double cool once a friend's had to have major leg surgery. They won't always (or maybe even mostly) save you, but they certainly can.
