In early grade school (in Illinois) my teacher occupied part of our non-learning time with lame jokes. One was a story about a lumberjack who was in the woods and got hungry. He saw a bunny and thought, "that would make for a nice meal", so he chased it with his axe. The bunny ran into a hollow log (this is where the teacher drew a cylinder with 2 open ends to represent the log). The lumberjack swung his axe into the log. He missed the bunny and took 3 more swings (he drew lines on the log resembling HI as cut marks in the log). When the lumberjack looked into the log to find the bunny, it wasn't there. So the teacher would ask us kids, "where did the bunny go?" And we all could see by reading the log drawing: the bunny went to OHIO.
