I had a good night...

My dinner was delicious. We had the poutine of the day: short ribs, gravy, peppers and onions, white cheese curds, and tater tots.

I had a tuna nicoise sandwich [not pictured]. I had 4 beers, my typical limit is 2 since I prefer not to drink. I had 2 German hefeweizen beers with banana and clove notes. Finished dinner with

@littlejohn22 @chefdaddy German weiss beers are ny favorite. My absolute favorite is Kรถnig Ludwig Weiss, with a lemon wedge, I could drink it all night.ย

@amberetta I'm ok with that sometimes. I think we hold a mystery and if someone awesome enough wants to unlock it, then they will be rewarded with our nerdy sexiness. And I am pretty adventerous with food. I will try about anything. Come to Chitown and I'll take you out ๐Ÿ˜‰

With an old co-worker/friend from my days working at the outdoor concert venue. He was the proverbial 'dirty old man' and I would happily find attractive ladies for him to glance at. He has remained a friend since then, that was 15 years ago! We meet occasionally for lunch or dinner. Tonight we're going to a local brewery. I'm excited...except for the hipsters. I digress....

@littlejohn22 I went beyond my capacity for beer. I had 4. 2 German beers. 1 dark porter. And after I decided to stop for 1 more drink, I had a lemony pilsner.

With the exception of a crying outburst this morning, I have managed to stay in good spirits today. You see, today marks 1 year since my grandma passed away. She was such an amazing lady, funny, sweet, giving, all the things good grannies are. She, along with my grandpa, helped raise me. Like a lot of kids from my generation, I was a latchkey kid....

@jaxons the kitten didn't make it ๐Ÿ˜ข I knew it wouldn't, the owner said it hadn't been normal since it was born. I gave my best effort, I'm glad it felt a little better before it passed and hopefully wasn't in pain.

I saw NIN twice in the 90's - one of my favorites ... Still have a concert shirt that is barely wearable. One more time before my old ass dies would be great!
cvtgrrl_shan:
@loucian I've seen them 10 times in the past 20 years. Every show was more mindblowing than the one before it. The latest album, Hesitation Marks, left much to be desired but this song is a gem

First and foremost would be the assumption that I am a bitch. This applies to my work environment. I can be quiet at work, there are times I just don't want to have a conversation so I sit back and listen to others or find something to do instead. Most times I can be short, I don't raise my voice but I will be stern...

You have always come across as really personable on SG. Not just a beautiful lady but a lovely person in my eyes. I have no experience with what you do but I can only imagine that seriousness and professionalism could only ever be the way to do the job.ย
cvtgrrl_shan:
@jamesg7811 there are times that I goof off, dance, joke, act a general fool. I sing all the time to the radio. But when it comes down to it I take my job seriously. It seems I'm so much of a bitch that they can't see past it.

Today was a decent day, slow in the morning. One of the doctors, recently retired, brought us ice cream and sundae fixin's. I had cookie dough and fudge brownie with whip cream and chocolate syrup.

The computers were being worked on so I took a 2 hour lunch complete with a wonderful nap.

Later, my friend came to visit. She is a special rottweiler. She

what a cute blog

@glass42 she knows her dogs boundaries and muzzles her wherever she goes. The dog has mellowed. I've known her since she was 2 and she was anxious and would take 3 or 4 people to vaccinate her, draw blood, and trim her nails. She would poop and pee everywhere out of fear. She got so bad we had to sedate her for her safety and ours. The owner brought her in a year or 2 ago for a nail trim, we had to sedate her for a 5 minute procedure. We figured, let's try without. I restrained and someone trimmed. She did great, she growled and tried to snap a few times but nothing compared to before. The owner was so happy she cried and bought us all coffee and muffins. Now only me and the 1 doctor see her and she does well. She even nuzzles me for affection. The owner understands her dogs behavior and doesn't push her limits.
