my son worked at a garden center for awhile and we got the same benefits lol
even now, some of the other boys who worked with him still give us discounts when we go there.
spinach and lettuce will do that, they don't tolerate the heat. but alot of the times you can plant a later crop, like beans, in it's place... I didn't get started early enough for spinach this year.
