No power since Friday nite around 10:00 when the storm ripped thru DC and surrounding brubs, breaking trees like toothpicks with 80mph gusts. WashPost says over a million w/o power. PEPCO's performance and reputation has been so bad the past few years, this only will make it worse.
So...no A/C and temps in the high 90s during the day. Could be a few more days...

Thanks, ya'll. Sweaty indeed. No power since Friday. The basement is nice and cool, but not all that comfortable for 3 plus the dog. Sort of like summer camp, but not as much fun.

Finishing the first week here in Peru. Here on our 25th anniversary bucket list trip with my sweetish.
Peru is amazing. We started in Lima and worked our way down the coast taking in the Nazca lines along the wa y to Arequipa. Just left Puno and lake Titicaca arriving in Cusco today. A little rest and then on to the Sacred Valley.
Intetnet is iffy here so pics when we get back!
