The Cards were my first team when I lived in Memphis early on as a kid. But we moved to Atlanta in '69, the year the Amazing Mets went all the way, but first winning the pennant from the Braves. SO... these days I'm an NL East guy through and through. First the Braves and now the Nats. A Mets-Cubs NLCS would be worth seeing. But they have some work to do in LA first!

After too many days in a sterile hotel in Rosemont I had to bail out tonight and head into the city a little way. First stop, my favorite namesake indie book store. Check them out at www.quimbys.com
Next stop, Handlebar for a veggie dinner of Pierogies washed down with Two Brothers "Atom Smasher" Oktoberfest. Very tasty. I feel much better now!
