Should you get the chance, read some William Gibson. He is the father of the Cyberpunk genre, and lives near you in Vancouver, BC... Try Burning Chrome... its a collection of short stories, and should let you know if you like him. I also read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Klay... it was an excellent read set against the backdrop of the emerging comic book industry of New York City in the thirties and forties, and finally, one my brother recommended, Carter Beats The Devil, a historical fiction thriller about Houdini Contemporary, Carter the Great. And for Non Fiction, Jared Diamond's Guns Germs and Steel. Let me know what you think if you read any of them!

I am going camping and kayaking this weekend at the western entrance to the North Cascades, on the Skagit River. andnowmiguel and I are taking inflatable duckies which are my favorite over the hard kayaks. We put in at Goodell Creek campground and take out at Copper Creek 8 miles later. This is a great place to see bald eagles October through February so maybe...

Wow! Thanks for that blast to the past! I'm fucked in my head and totally trapped in the 80s! All I like listening to is that stuff from the 80s. I'm still convinced the crew of the Enterprise look like they did back then and I'm horrified to see them as they actually look now.
And the pictures of that bear flying through the air made me crack up out loud! Fun times!

I have taken 4 years off from nursing...it's really time to start getting back into it in some way or another. I last worked 3 years in public health which I really, really loved.....helping underprivileged patient populations. I would do it again in a heartbeat for sure....

And speaking of Fremont, one of the photos I saw of you with King Kong in the background said that they thought you were the most beautiful woman in the parade with an attitude that says I own this street! I thought it was cool!
As a painted cyclist, I was really ticked off at the photographers. They edge out into the middle of the road trying to outdo eachother. It is amazing none of them got ran over!
